ELY BLUE LINE CLUB Equipment Policy Blue
Line will provide breezers, shoulder pads, shin pads, and gloves to players at
Popsicles and Ice Mites levels. Goalie
pads, chest protector, catcher, and blocker are provided at all levels. In the
younger groups the coach may be responsible for the equipment if there is not a
specific player designated as goalie. Blue
Line will provide goalie sticks for Popsicles, Mites, and Squirts. If a goalie
does not care to use the stick provided by Blue Line they may use one of their
choice, at their own expense. Sticks are not provided at the Pee Wee and Bantam
levels. Jerseys
will be distributed by the coaches before the first game. Jerseys are to be worn
for games only. They are not to be worn to school except for special
occasions approved by the coach, (e.g. “Red and White Day”). They are not to
be worn for practice or open skating or outdoor rinks. Take
proper care of the equipment. Keep it clean and dry, and don't put skates with
unprotected blades in a gear bag with other equipment. Repair
damaged equipment promptly or make arrangements with a member of the Equipment
Committee to have the item replaced or repaired. Return
equipment on the date designated by the Club. Equipment
must be clean, dry, and have all pads in place. If all equipment, including
jerseys, is not returned at this time, the returnable deposit will not be
refunded. If you have a conflict with the scheduled date, the equipment
committee must be notified. There
will be a fine for lost or badly damaged equipment. The charge for equipment
that was new Blue
Line equipment can be used for summer camps. Notify the equipment chairperson as
soon as you know you will need equipment. You will be called when a date is set
up to meet with those needing summer equipment. Do not wait until a week before
camp or you may not get equipment. If you plan on keeping the equipment you have
been using during the season for camp, notify the committee by the return date.
Jerseys must still be returned on time. For all equipment provided by the Ely Blue Line Club contact Betsy Leustek for replacement and damaged equipment at 365-4903 or email at leustek@frontiernet.net Remember that all club equipment must be turned in at the end of season to receive your equipment deposit back.
