What is SafeSport?

SafeSport is a nationwide program created by the U.S. Center for SafeSport to protect young athletes from all forms of abuse. It provides training, policies, and reporting systems to ensure that hockey remains a safe and enjoyable sport for everyone.

How SafeSport protects our players

🏒 Preventing Misconduct & Abuse – Policies to stop bullying, harassment, hazing, and all forms of abuse (physical, emotional, or sexual).

🏒 Required Training – Coaches, volunteers, and players (ages 17-18) complete SafeSport training to promote safety and respect.

🏒 Locker Room & Travel Policies – Clear guidelines for supervision to keep players safe during practices, games, and team travel.

🏒 Reporting Concerns – A confidential system for players and families to report any concerns about misconduct.
